Technology Business Development Associate  

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of identifying and capitalizing on new sales opportunities, all while nurturing customer relationships. As the Technology Business Development Associate, you’ll be the linchpin for ensuring the successful completion of technology solutions including infrastructure cabling projects, IT, camera and VoIP phone systems and promoting our diverse product lines. 

As the Technology Business Development Associate, under the leadership of the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will have the overall responsibility for driving TeleCom’s services to businesses of all sizes. You’ll be the face of our company, actively listening to customer needs and crafting customized product and service bundles to address their unique requirements.

 Responsibilities:  

  • Successfully sell and manage technology and structured cabling installation activities not limited to cabling, WiFi, IT services, Camera, IP phones systems and other technology solutions. 
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience and embody TeleCom’s professionalism and courtesy when dealing with prospects and clients. 
  • Exceed sales targets consistently. 
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations that resonate with your prospects. 
  • Cultivate and nurture customer relationships. 
  • Generate new sales leads primarily through in-person interactions, supplemented by phone communication and teams meetings. 
  • Oversee technology projects of all sizes. 
  • Champion the company’s Core Values to uphold and reinforce our unique company culture. 
  • Establish partnerships and affiliations with local organizations. 
  • Take full accountability for project labor and productivity to meet project labor and materials budget targets. 
  • Thoroughly analyze bid documents, including project plans and specifications, to evaluate opportunities. 
  • Accurately estimate costs, prepare quotations, and secure project opportunities. 
  • Expand your client base through referrals and proactive territory canvassing. 
  • Serve as the central point of contact, ensuring effective communication between internal and external contacts, including general contractors, owners, technicians, office staff, employees, and subcontractors. 
  • Maintain a consistently professional appearance and demeanor. 
  • Forge and nurture meaningful business relationships with customers, vendors, and general contractors. 

Skills:  

  • Valid US Driver’s license and reliable transportation with the ability to commute to clients’ locations and the office in Hallam, PA. 
  • Drive results and foster growth. 
  • Proficient in using computer software, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.). 
  • Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from various sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments. 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, including excellent customer service abilities. 
  • Able to learn and support new and evolving technologies. 
  • Skilled in researching solutions and technical information.
